Char­ity fundraiser be­gins at new home

ACHRIST­MAS fair raised money for a hospice char­ity at a new venue this year, writes Jo-Anne Rowney.

The Bea­cons­field fundrais­ing group for Iain Ren­nie Hospice at Home held its an­nual Christ­mas fair at Bea­cons­field School, Wat­tle­ton Road, on Satur­day.

There was a Christ­mas Grotto, chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing mak­ing your own Christ­mas cards, a lucky dip and a Guess the Name com­pe­ti­tion to win tick­ets to see Cin­derella at the Ayles­bury Wa­ter­side The­atre, star­ring Suzanne Shaw and Rus­sell Grant.

Toys and chil­dren’s clothes were also on sale among the 40 stalls.
