Cars cause chaos at school drop-off

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

I WATCHED with horror [recently one morning] at the drop off of school children going to the school next to Adstock Mews Church Lane and the near misses of accidents.

Whereas I realised it was raining heavily, there were at least 30 plus cars that did not go into the free car park available to mothers.

The cars came constantly and stopped outside Adstock Mews and then they do a turnaround in the area where children are crossing from the main car park, where the sensible mothers have free parking.

The cars that do not go into the car park then get into the queue to exit Church Lane, pushing in front of the sensible cars in the main car park.

This situation does not encourage the use of the main car park.

There is a turning area at the end of Church Lane and into Cordons Closer which should be a turning area only – no stopping. But cars do stop often, causing obstruction.
