Lots up for sale at ‘af­ford­able auc­tion’

Art­works!, in Che­sham, a con­sor­tium of lo­cal artists which is us­ing the old Stead and Simp­son shop in the High Street to dis­play their work, will be stag­ing the event on Satur­day, Novem­ber 29 from 2pm.

One of the or­gan­is­ers Louise Hick­man said: “Auc­tion lots will start from £20 and there will be a huge va­ri­ety of art­work to suit ev­ery taste and bud­get.

“We’re go­ing to in­tro­duce a ‘buy it now’ op­tion for those not want­ing to risk los­ing an item.

“Oth­er­wise, bids can be placed in ad­vance at Art­works! in the bids box if you can’t make it on the day.”

Auc­tion items in­clude wa­ter­colours from Madeleine Fletcher and Louise Hick­man and acrylics from Diana Copeland and Tony Moody, who will be act­ing as the auc­tion­eer.

There will also be felt needle­point from Kathryn and quirky wind chimes from Let­sBeCats!.

Shabby chic fur­ni­ture and mir­rors will be in­cluded in the sale as well.
