BONJOUR les amateurs de vin, voici a fizz francais!

We head to Champagne, in France this week. With Christmas drinks parties fast approaching it’s time for a real treat!

Made from a blend of 50 percent chardonnay and 50 percent pinot noir grapes, and matured for a minimum of 18 months prior to release, we are tasting the Champagne Charles Lecouvey Brut NV.

The look is very bright and clear, with tiny bubbles making a fine mousse through a pale gold colour. On the nose, heady aromas of brioche and fruit. In the mouth, a fine mousse tickles the taste buds, bringing flavours of crisp, green apple and baked patisserie.

A fresh, elegant style with a long dry finish. Delicious! Perfect for parties and celebrations.

Alcohol by volume is 12.5 percent and the price at Waitrose is £15.99 which will save you £11 until Tuesday, December 2. Until next time, Aller a penser a vous, Sante!!
