Website ‘nearly ready’

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

A WEBSITE publishing village information and parish council business is almost ready for launch after suffering major delays.

Chalfont St Giles Parish Council’s first website was first announced last February when parish council chairman Bill Warren said its introduction was ‘imminent’.

The council outsourced the website’s development and since then there has been no live site to visit.

Parish councillor Sarah Long said: “There have been many problems with the website. However, we now have something that is nearly ready.

“We are hoping to be able to publicise it at the next full parish council meeting at the Garden Centre in School Lane at 8pm on December 3 but we will not be ready before then.”

The site will include details of council meetings, local maps and a parish history.

Like neighbouring Chalfont St Peter Parish Council’s website, it will show contact details for councillors, a schedule of meetings, minutes and decisions.
