Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SPORT -

IT WAS a night of close games during free week in the Super Singles Darts League, where any outstanding matches are caught up on.

Steven Vaughan had two matches on the night and, following a 5-5 draw against Mick Carlton, he repeated the feat with another stalemate by the same score against Mark Luckett, in which he threw a 180 and Luckett bagged a 100 outshot.

Ryan Carroll produced his best performance of the season so far and pushed John Beattie all the way, before Beattie edged their encounter 6-4, despite Carroll hitting his third 180 of the season, while the Dan Franzen versus Dave Stopps game saw quality darts throughout and yet another 5-5 draw.

The final match of the night saw Paul Woodbridge lead Mike McLeod 4-1, only for McLeod to storm back in the second session to take his first win of the season 6-4.
