ANDY Zaltz­man, the Bri­tish­based half of the global hit pod­cast The Bu­gle, takes his uniquely in­ter­ac­tive new show, Satirist for Hire, to Ayles­bury Wa­ter­side The­atre’s Sec­ond Space on Thurs­day, De­cem­ber 4 at 8pm.

Whether a gen­eral grum­ble or a spe­cific bleat, au­di­ence mem­bers are in­vited to send in their satirico-queries in ad­vance.

Zaltz­man will then satirise them and an­swer the queries in his show.

The co­me­dian has es­tab­lished him­self as one of Bri­tain’s most in­ven­tive co­me­di­ans with his dis­tinc­tive brand of po­lit­i­cal com­edy.

He stars in the world­wide hit pod­cast, The Bu­gle, along­side John Oliver.

The weekly satir­i­cal com­edy show has gained an in­ter­na­tional fol­low­ing since its aunch late in 2007, and now re­ceives over 200,000 downloads per episode.

Andy has been a reg­u­lar at the Ed­in­burgh Fes­ti­val since be­ing nom­i­nated for the Per­rier Best New­comer Award in 2001, and in 2011 per­formed his sev­enth one-man show, Arm­chair Rev­o­lu­tion­ary, at The Stand. In 2004 and 2005, he and John Oliver per­formed sell-out Ed­in­burgh Fringe runs as a dou­ble act.

In 2007, Andy per­formed at the Mel­bourne Fes­ti­val, win­ning the co­me­di­ans’ co­me­dian Piece Of Wood Award.

Andy and John had pre­vi­ously cowrit­ten and starred in the BBC Ra­dio 4 shows The Depart­ment and Po­lit­i­cal An­i­mal.

Andy has made a num­ber of guest ap­pear­ances on tele­vi­sion and ra­dio, in­clud­ing two se­ries of The Al­ter­na­tive Com­edy Ex­pe­ri­ence, The Now Show and The News Quiz (BBC Ra­dio 4), and Brem­ner, Bird and For­tune (Chan­nel 4), for which Andy also wrote for sev­eral years.
