Jayden’s got award licked

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

A GENEROUS six-yearold has been given an award by a charity in recognition of his fundraising efforts.

Jayden Butcher, of Field Way, Chalfont St Peter, was given the Outstanding Young Person award from the Air Ambulance charity.

Jayden, who is a pupil at Thorpe House School in Gerrards Cross, completed a 200-metre swim in June this year after raising a total of £2,127.

He decided to raise the money after the charity helped to save his uncle James Butcher’s life last year after he was knocked off his motorcyle on the A413 at Tatling End.

Jayden discovered he had won after going along to a ceremony at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London on Monday, November 17.

His headmaster Terence Ayres presented him with a special award upon his return to school.

Jayden’s mother Pippa said: “It was a very proud moment for us.”
