Christingles on display to herald the start of Advent
A CHRISTINGLE service was held to herald in Advent at the weekend.
St Michael and All Angels Church, in Grenfell Road, Beaconsfield held the festive service on Sunday afternoon.
Rev Camilla Walton led the service, explaining why it is called Christingle before families gathered for refreshments in the hall.
Children also got a chance to make their own Christingles.
A Christingle is a symbolic object – it consists of an orange, representing the earth, a red ribbon representing the blood of Christ and a candle to represent the light of the world.
