Novem­ber 22, at the as­so­ci­a­tion’s an­nual din­ner.

The book was writ­ten by the late Robin Pedler, whose house in Grove Road was taken over by the Forces Navales Françaises Li­bres in 1941 in the Sec­ond World War with other prop­er­ties, in­clud­ing But­ler’s Court, to form a naval hos­pi­tal in Bea­cons­field.

This is where the Free French were treated. Those who did not sur­vive were buried in the Shep­herds Lane ceme­tery.
