The cream of the young crop
THE hairdressing industry’s stars of the future were identified at a training award ceremony.
Haringtons Hairdressing Group’s 12th annual training awards were held at Maidenhead’s Norden Farm Centre for the Arts.
Talented trainees from Haringtons’ 12 salons created hair cuts, styles and colours on models, which were then judged by top industry professionals.
Beaconsfield salon came away with the most winners, with third-year trainee Chantelle Taplin winning four awards.
Trainee Shani Baker was named one of four winners in the Hairdressers Journal Front Cover Photoshoot Competition and came third in the Haringtons Trainee of the Year competition.
Chelsea Cooper was third in the year three L’Oreal award for colour competition and was a finalist in the Hairdressers Journal Front Cover Photoshoot Competition.
Shannon Couch was named trainee of the year.
Judge president of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing Errol Douglas said: “Haringtons have put on a wonderful display and the standard of hairdressing is incredibly high. These stylists are the future stars of the hairdressing industry.”
The event was also used to raise money for Teens Unite which supports teenagers and young people with cancer.
