Busy choir reap re­wards at fes­ti­vals

YOUNG mu­si­cians and singers at a school have been busy per­form­ing at two fes­ti­vals.

Last month Girls at Malt­man’s Green School in Ger­rards Cross have taken part in both the Maiden­head Mu­sic and Dance Fes­ti­val and at the Mar­low Fes­ti­val of Mu­sic and Drama.

The school’s cham­ber choir sang in the chil­dren’s school choir cat­e­gory at the Mar­low event, and sang All Things Bright and Beau­ti­ful to achieve first place. They re­ceived a gold medal and a dis­tinc­tion grade for their per­for­mance, and was also given the Mayor’s Cup for best ju­nior choir at the fes­ti­val.
