Striker scores five to put race for ti­tle back in their grasp

A FIVE-star per­for­mance from Gary Bull got Last Post’s Che­sham Sun­day League Premier Di­vi­sion ti­tle chal­lenge back on track.

But they had to come from be­hind after Dar­rel Cooper put op­po­nents El­do­rado in front with just three min­utes gone, Leo Smith head­ing Last Post level be­fore Gary Bull put them in front with his first a minute later.

Stu­art Hawkes got El­do­rado back on terms, only for Bull to net his sec­ond on the stroke of half time and straight from the kick off in the sec­ond half, Bull com­pleted his hat trick.

Within a minute, Hawkes had pulled another back for El­do­rado, but Last Post then turned on the style as Bull got his fourth and Joel Break­s­pear added another.

Bull then grabbed his fifth be­fore Miles Beaven com­pleted a mis­er­able day for El­do­rado by round­ing off an 8-3 ham­mer­ing in in­jury time from dis­tance.

The goal-glut was in keep­ing with a day which saw three Premier League games pro­duce 29 goals, with league lead­ers Chal­font Saints keep­ing their ti­tle bid on track with a 6-1 thrash­ing of newly pro­moted Di­namo Che­quers.

Con­nor Cum­ber bagged a brace for the Saints, while Dare Stack, George Dear and Michael McNulty were all on tar­get too, and Scott John­son struck Di­namo’s con­so­la­tion.

Mean­while, Misty Moon were lead­ing Pi­o­neer 4-1 at the break
