Savills keeps number one spot in Gazette survey
REAL estate advisor Savills has maintained its position as UK number one in leading trade publication Estates Gazette’s annual top agents survey, which was published last month.
With a 15.8 per cent increase in UK turnover from £399.1million in 2013 (based on 2012 financial year end) to £462.3m in 2014 (based on 2013 financial year end), Savills held a £50m lead over its nearest competitor Jones Lang LaSalle who was ranked second. CBRE and Knight Frank took the third and fourth positions respectively.
Mark Ridley, CEO of Savills UK said: “We have once again not only secured the top position in the EG top agents survey, but done so with a significant margin over our competitors.
“This is a superb result and one that establishes our leading position in the UK real estate market as well as the continued hard work and commitment from our staff.
“The UK market has continued its recovery this year with confidence moving out into the tier one regional markets and our diversified business model by both geography and sector has placed us in a strong position to grow as sentiment improves further.”
The EG top agents survey reported the collective turnover for the 47 companies included at £2.7bn, with 21 firms experiencing a turnover increase of 10 per cent or more.
In addition to ranking number one in the EG top agents survey, Savills retained its first position for the eleventh consecutive year in Property Week’s top property services firm survey by turnover in June this year.
Savills was also named as The Times Graduate Employer of Choice for Property for the eighth consecutive year in April, as well as topping the UK Business Superbrand charts in the real estate sector for the sixth consecutive year in February.
