Auction raises lots for museum
Chiltern Open Air Museum volunteer Cathy Simpson with one of the lots A GROUP held a charity auction and raised thousands of pounds for a popular museum.
Friends of Chiltern Open Air Museum has announced a £3,500 donation to the museum after holding an auction in Chalfont St Peter.
The annual event at Chalfont St Peter Community Centre on November 15 saw a small Delftware pot sell for £190 and a Victorian vinaigrette (smelling salts container) made by Nathanial Mills take the highest bid of £220.
All proceeds will go to supporting the operating costs of the museum in Chalfont St Giles.
