Auc­tion raises lots for mu­seum

Chiltern Open Air Mu­seum vol­un­teer Cathy Simp­son with one of the lots A GROUP held a char­ity auc­tion and raised thou­sands of pounds for a popular mu­seum.

Friends of Chiltern Open Air Mu­seum has an­nounced a £3,500 do­na­tion to the mu­seum after hold­ing an auc­tion in Chal­font St Peter.

The an­nual event at Chal­font St Peter Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Novem­ber 15 saw a small Delft­ware pot sell for £190 and a Vic­to­rian vinai­grette (smelling salts con­tainer) made by Natha­nial Mills take the high­est bid of £220.

All pro­ceeds will go to sup­port­ing the op­er­at­ing costs of the mu­seum in Chal­font St Giles.
