Boys singing Hallelujah
SBoys from Thorpe House School outside the Royal Albert Hall, where they were part of a choir of 1,000 children CHOOLCHILDREN had a busy weekend of cultural arts at the end of last month.
It began with younger pupils at Thorpe House, in Gerrards Cross, watching the more senior boys re-enact the story of Romeo and Juliet.
Then 19 boys were taken by choir directors Kim Stallabrass and Ellie White to the Royal Albert Hall to take part in a performance of Messiah.
Conducted by Suzi Digby OBE, they joined 1,000 children from more than 30 school and youth choirs, professional soloists and The English Festival Orchestra to sing Handel’s masterpiece.
