Funding award helps boost support for long-term carers
EXTRA SUPPORT: Fred Durrans, commercial manager; Giulia Johnson, chief executive; Helen Wain, community services Manager and Linda Petrons, Income Generation Manager from Age UK AGE UK Buckinghamshire has been awarded £87,000 from the Cabinet’s Office’s Carers Social Action Support Fund, a share of £700,000 funding for volunteers to support unpaid family carers across the county.
The funding will be used to implement a new programme to support carers of people with dementia in Buckinghamshire and recognises the impact trained volunteers can make in supporting these long-term carers.
