Wasps still winless

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SPORT -

CHALFONT Wasps are still searching for their first league win of the season and remain seven points adrift at the bottom of Hellenic League Division One East.

Their latest defeat saw the Stingers go down 6-2 at home to Easington Sports on Saturday, despite goals from Lewis Cumber and Tom Williams.

Just one place above them, but with three wins under their belt, are Penn & Tylers Green, but they could escape the drop zone if they win their games in hand.

Penn went down 3-1 at league leaders Brackley Town Development on Saturday, Danny Jordan pulling a goal back from the penalty spot which was ultimately not enough.

But to their credit, Penn ran a very good side close, despite being without their top scorer, having only one fit substitute and having to play three players out of position.
