Festive cheer at hospital
Bellringers Norman Coombs, George Cooper, John Mumford, Jean Cooper, Doris Mumford and Beryl Coombs HOSPITAL patients and staff got a festive treat when a group of bellringers went along to ring in the Christmas season.
The Hedgerley Handbells went along to Wexham Park Hospital on Monday last week to spread some festive cheer.
The group of six were in the main reception to entertain patients, visitors and staff to raise money for the hospital’s trust.
As well as the bell ringing, the hospital’s fundraising manager Mike Stone was on hand with mince pies to help get everyone into the festive spirit.
Norman Commobs, one of the bell ringers, said: “We are delighted that we were able to brighten the day a little for patients, staff and visitors with our festive bell ringing and to be able to raise funds in support of the hospital.”
Mr Stone said: “It was delightful to see the look on people’s faces as the bells rang our Christmas carols in the main reception.
“Thank you Hedgerley Handbells and to everyone who enjoyed a mince pie and donated.”
