Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SPORT -

THE seemingly invincible young duo of Danny Lewis and Mitchell Jones notched up another perfect score in the Chalfont Table Tennis League this week.

The duo’s efforts saw Denham Village A beat their nearest rivals, Chiltern, to widen the gap at the top of Division One to nine points.

Rickmansworth A maintained third spot, having scrambled a draw against siblings Rickmansworth B, whose latest star, Cedric Felder, put on a class act by emerging unscathed, while Village C beat Chalfont C 10-0, courtesy of Richard Cottle, Roland Stanbridge and Timur Hashimi.

In Division Two, pace-setters Village D did not have it all their own way against the Village H girls, conceding two points, although their leading scorer, 14-year-old Gaurav Aravind, scored maximum points in his third consecutive match.

Hillingdon maintained their runners-up position by putting seven past third placed Village E, while top of the leader board Lee Clark keeps his 100 per cent record as he and Bradley Kennedy bagged maximum points in a comfortable 7-3 victory for Village J over struggling Ickenham URC.

The local derby between Rickmansworth C and D went Cs way 9-1, thanks to clean sheets from Howard Atkins and Andrew Grassick, while another derby between Village F and G resulted in a narrow win for the Fs 6-4 thanks to a third unbeaten display in a row from David Cottle.
