BUENOS dias, amantes del vino!

Yes, we remain in Spain this week, travelling to the Rias Baixas region, to Cambados in the Salnes Valley.

Here we are tasting the Palacio de Fefinanes Albariño 2013. Made from 100 percent Albariño grape, the look is a medium straw colour, looking clean, clear and crisp.

On the nose, this wine presents an intense floral note, layered by aromas of sweet apple compote. In the mouth, the wine has a good feel, there is a mouth-watering freshness and a touch of elegance to this wine. Great minerality combines well with flavours of apricot kernels. A very delicious drink. Would pair extremely well with seafood. Suitable for vegetarians and won Best New Discovery in the Wines from Spain Awards 2014.

Alcohol by volume is 12.5 percent and the price is £12.79. (Enjoy 20 percent off at Waitrose until December 30.)
