Christmas Fair, St Mary’s Church, Hawridge
PEOPLE flocked to a church’s inaugural Christmas fair recently, which has been hailed a success.
Following the success of its Harvest Market, St Mary’s Church, in Church Lane, Hawridge, held its first Christmas fair on Saturday, November 29.
Organiser Janet Hopkinson said: “It was a great success with people turning up to browse our many stalls of Christmas gifts, jewellery, cards, handmade Christmas wreaths and stocking fillers.
“Mulled wine and mince pies ensured everyone was kept happy while browsing the huge selection of gifts and bespoke handmade items.”
Children were kept entertained at the event with a chance to name Rudolph’s friend, donated by En-Route, with the hope of winning him.
A Christmas tree and a handmade topiary holly tree were also available to be won by adults.
Funds raised at the event will go to the church.
