Best Dec­o­rated House

Nick and Amanda Pringle, of Dean­sway, Che­sham, were last week an­nounced as the win­ner of Ash­eridge Vale and Lown­des Com­mu­nity As­so­ci­a­tion’s an­nual Best Dec­o­rated House com­pe­ti­tion.

The Pringles dec­o­rate their house ev­ery Christ­mas but this is the first time they have won.

They were handed a ham­per do­nated by Waitrose which was pre­sented by the judges, Mayor of Che­sham Mo Fayyaz, as­so­ci­a­tion chair­man Chris Spruyten­burg and sec­re­tary Jane Macbean.

The com­pe­ti­tion’s other judge was trea­surer Kings­ley Juett.

Mr Spruyten­burg said: “We’re happy to or­gan­ise this event ev­ery year be­cause it en­ables us to bring some ex­tra cheer to the win­ning cou­ple and to pub­li­cise our as­so­ci­a­tion which has been run­ning the com­pe­ti­tion for about 12 years.

“Many thanks to Waitrose for its gen­eros­ity.”

The sec­ond prize went to Ti­man­dra and Barry Slade from Berke­ley Av­enue, who also re­ceived a ham­per from Waitrose.
