Nick and Amanda Pringle, of Deansway, Chesham, were last week announced as the winner of Asheridge Vale and Lowndes Community Association’s annual Best Decorated House competition.
The Pringles decorate their house every Christmas but this is the first time they have won.
They were handed a hamper donated by Waitrose which was presented by the judges, Mayor of Chesham Mo Fayyaz, association chairman Chris Spruytenburg and secretary Jane Macbean.
The competition’s other judge was treasurer Kingsley Juett.
Mr Spruytenburg said: “We’re happy to organise this event every year because it enables us to bring some extra cheer to the winning couple and to publicise our association which has been running the competition for about 12 years.
“Many thanks to Waitrose for its generosity.”
The second prize went to Timandra and Barry Slade from Berkeley Avenue, who also received a hamper from Waitrose.
