Charlie Mac­far­lan, nine, and Harry Ger­main, eight, of Prest­wood Colts un­der-nines, with Fa­ther Christ­mas YOUNG foot­ball play­ers chal­lenged Fa­ther Christ­mas’s elf to a penalty shoot-out for char­ity.

Prest­wood Colts and Girls FC raised £170 for Tommy’s char­ity, which funds re­search into preg­nancy prob­lems.

The Prest­wood Common club wel­comed Fa­ther Christ­mas and his helper, un­der-eights coach Mike Kitcher, who took part in the penalty com­pe­ti­tion.

The event on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 13, sup­ported Claire Ger­main, whose son Harry plays for the un­der-nines.

Mrs Ger­main will run next year’s London marathon for the char­ity based at St Thomas’ Hos­pi­tal in the cap­i­tal.

Mrs Ger­main said: “I am so grate­ful for the support from Prest­wood Colts. This is a great idea for a fundraiser and a bril­liant way to round off a fun year at the club.”

Club chair­man Mike Ful­ham added: “We had a great morn­ing down on the common.

“Santa re­ally en­joyed meet­ing all the boys and girls from the club and checked they were on his list.”
