Charlie Macfarlan, nine, and Harry Germain, eight, of Prestwood Colts under-nines, with Father Christmas YOUNG football players challenged Father Christmas’s elf to a penalty shoot-out for charity.
Prestwood Colts and Girls FC raised £170 for Tommy’s charity, which funds research into pregnancy problems.
The Prestwood Common club welcomed Father Christmas and his helper, under-eights coach Mike Kitcher, who took part in the penalty competition.
The event on Saturday, December 13, supported Claire Germain, whose son Harry plays for the under-nines.
Mrs Germain will run next year’s London marathon for the charity based at St Thomas’ Hospital in the capital.
Mrs Germain said: “I am so grateful for the support from Prestwood Colts. This is a great idea for a fundraiser and a brilliant way to round off a fun year at the club.”
Club chairman Mike Fulham added: “We had a great morning down on the common.
“Santa really enjoyed meeting all the boys and girls from the club and checked they were on his list.”
