Beavers get a grand present

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

A GROUP of beavers who went to present a gift to a friend ended up receiving an unexpected gift of their own.

The 1st Lee Common Beavers attended Elizabeth StewartLiberty’s home, in Lee Common, on December 8 to present her with a plant that they had potted and grew as part of their friendship and global badges. The 19 beavers sang a couple of Christmas songs and Mrs Stewart-Liberty gave them all drinks and refreshments.

She also gave the beaver troop a £1,000 donation.

Leader Alvin EvansWoodward said: “Mrs Stewart-Liberty was very welcoming to my beavers. They had such fun and the beavers were totally blown away by her generosity, as was I.

“The donation will go a long way to helping with camp next year and some needed tents for the beavers. To Mrs Stewart-Liberty, a big thank you from the 1st Lee Common Beavers.”
