Parish magazine scoops top honour for its church news
Village beats hundreds of other competitors to take national title
A TOWN’S parish magazine has been held up as the best in the country after competing against 600 other publications.
The Beaconsfield Parish Magazine, the monthly bulletin representing church news and wider Beaconsfield community news, was declared overall winner in the National Parish Magazine Awards organised by online printers www. parishmagprinters.co.uk.
The magazine is distributed to nearly 1,000 homes. It provides news from all the churches in Beaconsfield, as well as a number of local community organisations.
Editor Margaret Mardall said that she was surprised but pleased to be announced the winner.
She said: “Thanks are due to all those who contribute to the magazine throughout the year and to Turville Printing Services of High Wycombe for their input in its production.
“We are also very grateful to all our advertisers, readers and distributors for their invaluable support.”
There were more than 600 entries this year.
