Santa’s float raises £7,000

The Rotary Club of Gerrards Cross and Chalfont St Peter raised about £7,000 for charitable causes in the UK and abroad with its Christmas float, which visited different areas of the two villages.
The float included an area for Father Christmas to sit and its figures and structures were refurbished during November by a number of rotary club members.
John Hedley, of the group, said: “The float was able to complete its rounds this year thanks to the teams of collectors, the skill of the drivers and the kindness of the weather man.”
