The school began to clear and develop the site in its grounds at the start of 2014 and the pond area of the project was completed in July, thanks to successful funding applications.

It is supported by parents, Chesham in Bloom, Chesham Action Partnership and Chesham Town Council.

During his visit, Mr Brown was shown around the completed phase one by some of the school’s gardening club and eco club children, who told him how ‘pleased’ they are that the garden is being developed.

The school is hoping to receive some funding from Mr Brown for the project and it is continuing to apply for funding from other sources too.
