Bowls club helps boost good cause

MEM­BERS of a sports club raised more than £3,000 for char­ity in mem­ory of a for­mer player.

Ev­ery year Che­sham Bowl­ing Club’s cap­tains choose a char­ity to support dur­ing the year. This year the cho­sen char­ity was Lifeblood The Throm­bo­sis Char­ity, in mem­ory of club mem­ber Bar­bara Strud­wick who sud­denly died last year of a blood clot.

The club pre­sented a cheque of £3,125 to the di­rec­tor of the char­ity Paul Wester­man at a club cof­fee morn­ing on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 13.
