Bowls club helps boost good cause
MEMBERS of a sports club raised more than £3,000 for charity in memory of a former player.
Every year Chesham Bowling Club’s captains choose a charity to support during the year. This year the chosen charity was Lifeblood The Thrombosis Charity, in memory of club member Barbara Strudwick who suddenly died last year of a blood clot.
The club presented a cheque of £3,125 to the director of the charity Paul Westerman at a club coffee morning on Saturday, December 13.
