A PROUD businesswoman rubbed shoulders with politicians when she was invited to Number 10 Downing Street.

The director of hair salon Gatsby and Miller, Sycamore Road in Amersham, Julie Church, went to the prestigious address after her salon won a Small Business Saturday award.

The award was for their idea to makeover the salon into a winter wonderland for Small Business Saturday which was on Decemeber 6.

Julie said: “It was a proud day for Gatsby and Miller and myself, I met George Osborne and Matthew Hancock MP, who are passionate to encourage the success of small businesses.

“Karren Brady also joined us, who is truly inspiring to be in the company of and chat business ideas with.”

Small Business Saturday is a campaign to support and promote small businesses and to encourage consumers to shop locally.
