Stylish Ital­ian con­cer­tos to be­gin the year

A FES­TI­VAL of mu­sic’s con­cert with an Ital­ian twist prom­ises to be the per­fect start to the new year, pic­tured right.

The Amer­sham Fes­ti­val of Mu­sic new year con­cert will be held at St Mary’s Church in Amer­sham on Fri­day.

Pub­lic­ity of­fi­cer, Jon Wal­lis said: “Join us to cel­e­brate the new year with a fes­tive pro­gramme of Ital­ian Baroque Con­cer­tos in­clud­ing bril­liant works by Vi­valdi for Oboe and by Pi­etro Le­cosaldi for Cello, two su­perb Con­certi Grossi by the great Corelli (in­clud­ing the much-loved and ex­quis­ite Christ­mas Con­certo). The pro­gramme ends with one of Rossini’s early, vir­tu­osic and highly amus­ing String Sonatas.”
