Food firms hoping for taste of success
BUSINESSES from across the county have entered the Buckinghamshire Food and Drink Awards.
The awards aims to highlight the very best of the county’s food and drink sector. There have been 113 nominations for the awards across 14 categories.
The nominated venues and businesses have been sent free marketing toolkits to help them garner the crucial votes they will need for victory.
The Mayo Brothers butchers, in Chesham Bois, have been nominated, as well as The Jolly Cricketers pub, in Seer Green; The Greyhound Enetoca, in Beaonsfield; J and L Mash butchers, in Seer Green; The Crazy Bear pub, in Beaconsfield; Beaconsfield Wine Cellars; and Jordans Village Store.

NOMINATED: Rob and Jenni Sawyer, owners of Mayo Brothers Mayo Brothers butchers, in Chesham Bois, with wife Jenni, said: “We’re not aware of who nominated us, it came out of the blue and was a brilliant surprise. We have already printed off hundreds of leaflets for our customers.”
The couple have been running the shop for 25 years, the past six as owners after they bought the business.
Mr Sawyer added: “We don’t compromise on service or quality.”
