Fresh air and a spring clean
Chiltern Rangers at work on a recent conservation project YOUTH groups are collaborating springclean the Buckinghamshire countryside, eight and 18 can still volunteer, say organisers Chiltern Rangers.
It is being funded by a £22,000 grant from Bucs County Council Local Area Forums and Local Community Partner-ships. This will pay for planning and oversight of the sessions and the equipment.
Bucks County Council’s cabinet member for community engagement Martin Phillips said: “I’m delighted we’re supporting this programme. We’re fortunate to have so many young people in Buckinghamshire who do some really great things for the community.”
Bucks New University’s Hindu Society will start the project at Penn Wood on Saturday.
