What this means is some ex­tra length to the tun­nel and ex­tra pay­ments to those most badly af­fected.

They say that they are op­posed to HS2 but con­tinue to support it fi­nan­cially, with their an­nual party re­newal pay­ments to the party which pro­poses to build it.

There is a say­ing, ‘put your money where your mouth is’. That is what they should do.
