Consultation at every stage of HS2

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

Re: ‘HS2 has no signs of democracy’, (Advertiser, letters page, January 8) MR Bishop complains nobody was consulted, he is wrong, every point he raised concerning the village has been consulted upon.

The Stop HS2 campaign has been, and still is, fighting this proposal. The parish council office purchase has been cancelled, as reported in this paper. The traffic calming measures are still being formalised, no decision has been made. At the elections in May, several places on the parish council will be available and the remaining councillors want people concerned about the village to come forward.

There is no political affiliation and the duty only requires a few hours per month.
