Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SCHOOL REPORT -

TIME FOR A CUPPA: Louise Dobby with Charlotte, Lil Mawby with Toby and Rachel Horne, with Dara and Barney, at the Chartridge School coffee morning. A SCHOOL organised a special coffee morning to mark the fifth anniversary of its breakfast club.

To celebrate the occasion, Tina Beaumont, who manages the beforeschool club, organised the event which took place at Chartridge School last week.

Parents and toddlers were able to enjoy some breakfast with a cuppa after they had dropped their children off at the school, in Cogdells Lane, Chartridge.

Donations from the coffee morning, along with the week’s takings from breakfast club – totalling £227 – were forwarded to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.

Mrs Beaumont, who baked a special birthday cake for the staff to enjoy, said: “Whilst getting up early each morning can have its drawbacks, running the club is incredibly rewarding and a great help to our working parents. I would like to say a huge thank you to all those who supported our celebratory event and donated to such a worthwhile cause.”
