En­joy live mu­sic by a duo at The Game­keeper’s Lodge in Belling­don Road on Satur­day from 9pm to 11.30pm.

The Cherry Valen­tines is made-up of Paul O’Kynd and Vicky Valen­tine who play up-tempo cover tunes with acous­tic gui­tar, flute and har­monies.

The duo’s pedi­gree comes from Paul’s almost 20 years in the mu­sic business, play­ing in signed orig­i­nals bands and var­i­ous cover acts, and Vicky’s years as a stage ac­tor, trained flautist and bur­lesque chanteuse. Paul is also one half of renowned lo­cal acous­tic rock­ers The Weather­top Preach­ers.

Come along to the char­ity karaoke event on Satur­day, Jan­uary 24 at the The Red Lion in Penn Road.

The evening is in aid of Bea­cons­field OAPs Coach Trip.

The next com­edy show at The Pot­ters Arms, in Fag­nall Lane on Thurs­day, Jan­uary 29 will fea­ture Eric Lam­paert. Eric is a French-born co­me­dian who was a fi­nal­ist in the Amused Moose Laugh Off com­pe­ti­tion. Tick­ets cost £15. Call 01494 726 222.

Peo­ple will be able to show off their gen­eral knowl­edge skills when a quiz takes place at a vil­lage pub.

The Green Man in Vil­lage Road, Den­ham Vil­lage is host­ing a quiz ev­ery Thurs­day evening this year.

Teams of any size are wel­come and the fun starts ev­ery week at 8pm.


There are a range of nights to cover every­body’s tastes at the pub in High Street this win­ter.

Land­lady Rachael Bree and her team wel­come peo­ple to darts ev­ery Mon­day and char­ity quiz nights ev­ery Tues­day.

Cus­tomers can en­joy band nights ev­ery Satur­day but no mat­ter what day you pop in, be sure to say hello to Ms Bree’s dog, Gun­ner the bor­der ter­rier.
