Cycle initiative is wheely great idea
YOUNGSTERS got on their bikes to take part in a school’s first ever Cycle to School Week.
Boys at Thorpe House School in Gerrards Cross were challenged to cycle to school every day instead of coming by car. The event was held to help ease congestion at school drop off and pick up times, and also to encourage exercise early in the mornings, which has been proved to help learning.
The initiative was organised by teacher Ian Plunkett who said: “We are really proud of those boys who have braved the frost and freezing temperatures to do their bit for the environment.”
