Pupils get sneak peek at university

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SCHOOL REPORT -

YOUNG students were given a glimpse of university education at a visit to Oxford Brookes University.

Year seven students from Chalfonts Community College, in Chalfont St Peter, toured the university’s campus, including the halls of residence, sports facilities, the student union building, library and study areas.

The two groups of 60 students participated in a range of activities focused on independent learning.

Principal Catherine Davies said: “We are fully committed to ensuring that every student has the best education to enable them to select a university education if that is their choice.

“Regardless of their starting point, we are highly aspirational for all young people and we will strive continuously to raise our students’ self-belief to produce fully rounded, highly capable and impressive citizens of the future.”
