Ammal’s got the voice

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SCHOOL REPORT -

song A BUDDING singer beat thousands for her wish to be featured in an uplifting charity song.

Amersham School pupil Ammal Kamran entered a competition so she could sing on the song, Kids Wish For The World. There were 20,000 entries and she was one of the ten young people who got the chance to sing on the song.

Ammal, 12, of Meadow Bank Close, in Amersham, said: “We recorded it in Essex, it was really fun.

“I saw the competition on [social media platform] PopJam and I entered.

“I didn’t think that I would be a finalist though. I just did it for fun.”

The idea for the song came from the singer and songwriter Beatie Wolfe and the intention is for the song to show the changes that young people wish to see in the world.

The money raised will go to the NSPCC and War Child.

The song will be released on Monday, February 9 on iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers.
