Staff rewarded for their ‘silver’ service
STAFF who have worked for more than 25 years for the council were rewarded for their long service.
Ten staff from Buckinghamshire County Council celebrated clocking up 250 years of service between them, at a reception on Thursday, January 15.
Vice chairman Bill Chapple presented certificates to the staff, all of whom had completed 25 years with the county council.
Long servers included school support Diane Bovingdon, from Chiltern Hills Academy, Amersham; classroom assistant Sharon Matthews, from Heritage House School, Chesham; learning support assistant Trudy Reid, from Heritage House School, Chesham; night residential worker Jane Richardson, from Seeley’s Respite Unit, Beaconsfield; Teacher Beth Saunders, from Little Chalfont Primary School.

Mr Chapple said: “Service is the biggest thing our staff give to the council, and it’s right that we recognise long service and dedication at gatherings to celebrate successes.”
