Staff re­warded for their ‘sil­ver’ ser­vice

STAFF who have worked for more than 25 years for the coun­cil were re­warded for their long ser­vice.

Ten staff from Buck­ing­hamshire County Coun­cil cel­e­brated clock­ing up 250 years of ser­vice be­tween them, at a re­cep­tion on Thurs­day, Jan­uary 15.

Vice chair­man Bill Chap­ple pre­sented cer­tifi­cates to the staff, all of whom had com­pleted 25 years with the county coun­cil.

Long servers in­cluded school support Diane Bov­ing­don, from Chiltern Hills Academy, Amer­sham; class­room as­sis­tant Sharon Matthews, from Her­itage House School, Che­sham; learn­ing support as­sis­tant Trudy Reid, from Her­itage House School, Che­sham; night res­i­den­tial worker Jane Richard­son, from See­ley’s Respite Unit, Bea­cons­field; Teacher Beth Saun­ders, from Lit­tle Chal­font Pri­mary School.

Vice chair­man Bill Chap­ple with Buck­ing­hamshire County Coun­cil staff who have served for 25 years recog­nised for suc­cess­ful work projects and achiev­ing pro­fes­sional qual­i­fi­ca­tions.

Mr Chap­ple said: “Ser­vice is the big­gest thing our staff give to the coun­cil, and it’s right that we recog­nise long ser­vice and ded­i­ca­tion at gath­er­ings to cel­e­brate suc­cesses.”
