Jelly look­ing solid again

BLAINE Jelly showed he has got over his early sea­son wob­bles in week 11 of the Su­per Sin­gles Darts League.

Hav­ing had a dis­ap­point­ing sea­son so far, he bounced back with a hard-fought 6-4 win over Mark Luck­ett, his third of the sea­son, at the Wooburn Club.

Paul Wood­bridge ( played some of his best darts of the sea­son in hold­ing Rob Br­ere­ton to an 5-5 draw, while Dave Stopps ( con­tin­ued his nor­mal good form in the sec­ond half of the sea­son with a 7-3 win over Trevor Br­ere­ton, which con­tained two 180s.

Steven Vaughan and Steve McLeod both played twice on the night, Vaughan win­ning his first match 8-2 over Mike McLeod with an 107 out­shot, while Steve McLeod got the bet­ter of Andy Long 6-4 in his first match be­fore see­ing off Vaughan 7-3 in their sec­ond game, hit­ting his fifth 180 of the sea­son.

Fi­nally, Dan Franzen stayed in third spot fol­low­ing his lat­est tri­umph, an 8-2 suc­cess over Si­mon White in which both play­ers man­aged 180s.
