New acts are added to Penn festival line-up
THE Fratellis, Scouting for Girls and Peter Andre are all set to take the stage at this year’s PennFest.
Festival-goers shared their excitement online when the PennFest 2015 line-up was announced on Friday.
So far, the confirmed acts include Union J, The Fratellis, The Happy Mondays, Peter Andre, Scouting for Girls, Rebecca Ferguson, Jack Pack, Stereo MC’s, Only The Young and Dreadzone.
The three-day, familyfriendly festival with camping, will be at Penn Street again as PennFest, formerly known as Penn Festival, returns on July 17-19. More acts are still to be confirmed and the Old Skool Warehouse, featuring DJs, will be announced soon.
In addition to the main stage acts, there will be a diverse selection of upand-coming bands, with applications for support bands opening soon.
As well as an impressive array of contemporary and established performers, there will be creative workshops and a global artisan market with a selection of arts-based stalls.
There will also be a ‘play penn’, including arts and crafts workshops, street entertainers and performers and a circus workshop where children can learn circus skills.
There will be multiple bars and a wide range of quality food outlets, selling food from around the world.
Camping will be available on the site until the Monday.
