Job­less falls

THE num­ber of peo­ple un­em­ployed in the county fell by 95 in De­cem­ber.

This 11th suc­ces­sive monthly fall took the to­tal num­ber of claimants to 2,786, the low­est level since Jan­uary 2008.

With 0.9 per cent of work­ing age peo­ple in Bucks claim­ing Job Seek­ers’ Al­lowance, the county has the third low­est claimant count among the 39 Lo­cal En­ter­prise Part­ner­ships.

Data re­leased for the year end­ing Septem­ber 2014 put the county’s un­em­ploy­ment rate at 4.5 per cent, down from 5.3 per cent for 2013.
