Schools get together to strike Grease Lightning
TWO schools are coming together to bring alive a much-loved musical.
For the second year in a row, The Beaconsfield School and Beaconsfield High School have joined forces to produce another musical.
This year’s Grease.
Teacher Liz Bemment said: “We are delighted to have a senior and junior cast this year.
“The senior cast will be delighting the stage on the Friday and Saturday night.
“Please come and support us and tickets can be bought on the day, or call up the school for more details.”
The junior cast will perform on Thursday, February 5, to six local primary schools and at
is the Saturday matinee.
Pupil Lizzie Cottrell, 13, who is a dancer and in the chorus, said: “I have really enjoyed being part of the chorus and the dancers this year.
“My favourite dance is for the great song We Go Together.”
Pupil Tristan Waterston, 17, who plays Danny in the senior show, said: “This is the second year I have been part of the joint musicals.
“Instead of Queen songs I now get to be lovesick Danny, who I have enjoyed playing, particularly with the other T Bird actors.”
Grease is at Beaconsfield High School, Wattleton Road, tomorrow (Friday), at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm and 7pm.
