Schools get to­gether to strike Grease Light­ning

TWO schools are com­ing to­gether to bring alive a much-loved mu­si­cal.

For the sec­ond year in a row, The Bea­cons­field School and Bea­cons­field High School have joined forces to pro­duce an­other mu­si­cal.

This year’s Grease.

Teacher Liz Bem­ment said: “We are de­lighted to have a se­nior and ju­nior cast this year.

“The se­nior cast will be de­light­ing the stage on the Fri­day and Satur­day night.

“Please come and sup­port us and tick­ets can be bought on the day, or call up the school for more de­tails.”

The ju­nior cast will per­form on Thurs­day, Fe­bru­ary 5, to six lo­cal pri­mary schools and at

Pupil Lizzie Cot­trell, 13, who is a dancer and in the cho­rus, said: “I have re­ally en­joyed be­ing part of the cho­rus and the dancers this year.

“My favourite dance is for the great song We Go To­gether.”

Pupil Tris­tan Water­ston, 17, who plays Danny in the se­nior show, said: “This is the sec­ond year I have been part of the joint mu­si­cals.

“In­stead of Queen songs I now get to be lovesick Danny, who I have en­joyed play­ing, par­tic­u­larly with the other T Bird ac­tors.”

Grease is at Bea­cons­field High School, Wattleton Road, to­mor­row (Fri­day), at 7pm and Satur­day at 2pm and 7pm.
