Vision for Beaconsfield

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

PETER Foster, press officer for Vision 4 Beaconsfield, which is putting together a town plan:

“We are doing a local plan and asking as many people to get involved as possible so we can get something together that reflects everyone’s views. We have had 500 to 600 people, and volunteers, in the working group. We want people from the New Town, Old Town and Holtspur to get involved and have seen people from Knotty Green too.

“We realise we

have problems unique to Beaconsfield but we are happy to share our findings with the district.

“We have had several ideas, from conservation and keeping the character of the town to amenities.

“People have asked about a theatre, a swimming pool, better parking, ways to work with businesses and create jobs and how to use open spaces better.

“One on Twitter was my favourite – the not so sensible suggestion of handing over the town plan to Bekonscot as they are the people who know how to run a small town!”
