Chiltern stay at the top
CHILTERN maintained their four-point lead over Denham Village A at the top Division One of the Chalgont Table Tennis League this week after both teams bagged 10-pointers.
Chiltern demolished Village C, thanks to their Chris Haines, Mark Croucher and Mike Atkinson, while Rickmansworth B conceded to Village A after finding themselves with just one player.
Village B had a comfortable 8-2 win over Chalfont B, with youngster Ben NaylorSmith putting on a 100 per center, while Rickmansworth A battled with just two players to beat Chalfont C 7-3, thanks to maximum scores from Kevin Williams and Shashin Shah.
In Division Two, Village F bagged all the points against Rickmansworth D, courtesy of David Cottle, Carys Evans and Shaun Bausor, while Village E dished out the same treatment to siblings Village G, with youngsters Ollie Kimmins, Max Pennington and Harry Wilcox all shining.
Village H had an emphatic 9-1 win over Ickenham URC, with unbeaten performances from Rosalind Lane and newcomer Mitchell Pidgeon, who is aged just 12, while George Reidy won all his singles and a share of the doubles as Hillingdon saw off Rickmansworth C.
Leaders Village D surprisingly only managed to share the points with the youngsters of Village J, whose top player, Lee Clarke, showing the relentless form that has put him top of the averages.
