Seek merriment with the Merry Men

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - ON SHOW -

ROBIN Hood and his merry man will take the stage in a drama society’s latest performance.

Iver Heath Drama Club (IHDC) will perform the pantomime Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood this weekend and the next.

The play tells the story of courage and friendship as Robin and his trusted band of Merry Men try to outfox the greedy Sheriff of Nottingham.

Meanwhile, Nurse Nellie Nickerlastic is desperately trying to protect the ‘Babes’ from the clutches of the Sheriff’s bungling henchmen, Snivel and Grovel.

It is directed by Claire Freeman and written by Alan Frayn.

IHDC was established in 1948 and has more than 40 members of all ages and abilities. The club is funded by profits from shows and grants from Iver Parish Council and Pinewood Studios.

The show takes place at Iver Heath New Village Hall at 2.30pm and 7pm this Saturday, 3pm on Sunday, 7pm on Friday, February 6 and 1.30pm and 6pm on Saturday, February 7. Tickets cost from £5 to £9. To book, visit www.ticketsource.
