Macmillan staff get service award
CHARITY staff have been given an award for the service which they provide.
Workers at the Macmillan Cancer Information Service, at Wexham Park Hospital, achieved top marks in an assessment of its service
Nicola Neale and Patricia Thornhill from Macmillan Cancer Information Service and facilities, which was carried out last year.
Because of this, it has been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark, which recognises high performing information centres.
Nicola Neale, manager of the information service at Wexham Park Hospital, said: “We were thrilled to hear that we had received the highest mark possible, a level five, in all areas.
“Receiving the award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the team.
“When you or a loved one is facing cancer, not being able to find the answers you need can be frustrating and isolating.
“We are here to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.”
