‘Fitness freak’ bags work award

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

A BUCKS County Council officer recently featured on BBC television, has been recognised as one of the country’s “30 under 30” internal communication workers.

Liz Fisher, 29, of Aylesbury, was cited for her “creativity in bringing communications to life”, by the Institute of Internal Communications.

Upon receiving the award Liz said she was “totally chuffed”.

In January, former PE teacher Liz – described by colleagues as “a bit of a fitness freak” – was filmed by the BBC tackling the staircases of the 12-storey council building, rather than taking the lift.

She was participating in Workplace Challenge, a health and fitness initiative funded by Sports England.
